While building a new home here, one thing became clear: Hattiesburg needed a true New Orleans–style seafood spot—one rooted in tradition, flavor, and love for the craft. While in the area for a funeral, we found Triangle to be one of the few places open on a Sunday afternoon, as we were wanting to get some live crawfish to bring home to West Virginia. We arrived at Triangle around 4:30pm Sunday afternoon. We were greeted by a gentleman who was super friendly and helpful! We bought a 35# bag of large live crawfish. Put them in a cooler and he covered them with ice for us. We had to go buy a little bigger cooler but after doing that, we placed the cooler on a luggage rack with the lid cracked a little. Had a towel covering the bag and ice on top of the towel, with the corners of the towel turned back to allow air flow. Opened the cooler drain to keep the melted ice water flowing and replenished the ice whenever we stopped for gas. We had to spend the night in a hotel outside of Nashville so we took the cooler in and let it drain in the tub all night. Packed it with ice again and drove the last 8 hours home. When we originally told the guy at Triangles that we were taking them on a 12 hour journey to WV, he told us that they had gotten that batch in at 0730 that morning and we should expect some to die from the conditions of driving them this far. We arrived at our family’s house, dumped the crawfish into another cooler and washed them. Picked out the dead ones. I was truly expecting to have several die just from the trip being so long and us not fully knowing what we were doing. But we only had TEN dead ones!! TEN out of dozens! Our family that we took them to are from Louisiana and they had everything else ready for the boil to get going as soon as we arrived with the main entree! They were impressed that we made it that far with only a few dead! None of them could believe we made it that far and only 10 died!! We received some great instruction from the guy at triangle and we couldn’t have done it without his help!! Also, have to mention, we expected to spend a few hundred on them but we didn’t! They were very affordable! And worth every dime!! We are telling everyone we know down there that this is the BEST PLACE to go for Live Fresh crawfish! Absolutely delicious with super helpful, friendly service. Thank you, Triangle!! You made the day of several transplants who have moved a little north but still love their Cajun crawfish boil!! ❤️❤️

Just drove from Pittsburgh down to Hattiesburg and this is my Mom's favorite place to get seafood. And I have to say the Crawfish, shrimp and crab was amazing. Top that with some down home Southern hospitality. I'll go back every time I go home.
